8/6 renovation

Slowly, the studio is being turned into a gallery. Very slowly. The floor is probably as clean and smooth as it’s going to get, and still looks trashed. I don’t know if I should try to paint it or what. I do have some laminate (birch/blond) flooring panels in my attic that I think I’ll use in the back room. I think there’s enough to cover that floor. I’m painting the ceiling and walls a little at a time. This morning I climbed out the window in the West space and walked on the roof. Probably not the sturdiest structure in the world, but I saw two JB employees out there the other day and that gave me the idea. I’d like to watch the sunset from the roof this week.

The flyer is done and put up in the building. I also made a note to invite people participate in an open studio day during the exhibit.
